QUICK ANSWER: At LIT Farms, our Essential pounds are the cheapest bulk THCA flower in full-size buds, from $525 a pound, or $1.16 per gram, with the THCA percentage posted beside every strain and a 24-hour lead time. Two sellers go lower with smalls, Bulk THCa Supply at $350 and Plain Jane at $420 on September 28, 2026, and every $100 pound we found was shake, trim or a clearance mix.

Sixteen Essential ounces off our menu cost $639.84 at list price. A full pound off our wholesale list, which weighs a little more than those 448 grams, costs $525. That $114.84 difference is the reason to look at bulk THCA flower pounds in the first place.

The catch is that the cheapest bulk THCA flower is only cheap if your volume matches it. Most pound sellers hide the number behind an inquiry form, and the ones that publish it use different grades, minimums and bag sizes, so the prices never line up on their own.

We priced four sellers that show pound pricing publicly, noted who requires what before shipping, checked how each one tests a lot, and worked out where a pound stops making sense and ounces win. 

That's the math you need before you wire money for a pound, whether you're stocking a shop or just smoke enough to think in pounds.

POUND PRICING AT A GLANCE

We compared four sellers that publish pound pricing without requiring a login. The table lists the three whose pound price we could read straight off a one-pound listing, with our own rows updated to the wholesale list on September 30, and the fourth, THCA4Cheap, is covered below it.

 

How we compared prices

• We chose the four sellers from pages that rank for bulk and wholesale THCA flower searches and show pound pricing publicly, so the comparison is a market sample. We left out sellers that hide pricing behind an inquiry form or a trade account because there was nothing to compare.
• Every price is the seller's regular list price on the capture date in the table: September 28, 2026 for the other sellers and September 30 for our wholesale list. Temporary sale prices, first-order codes and automatically applied discounts are excluded so the comparison uses the underlying listed price.
• Per-gram figures in the price table divide the pound price by 453.6 grams, the weight of a standard pound. The ounce-versus-pound math further down compares sixteen 28-gram retail bags, or 448 grams, with one wholesale pound, because that's how the two are actually sold.
• Only products listed as one pound made the price table. We didn't stack ounce listings with a quantity discount into a pound equivalent, because a discount ladder is a different product from a pound bag.
• Where a product page shows one price range across all its weight options, we couldn't tell which figure belongs to the pound, so we covered that seller below the table.

We sell pounds ourselves, so read our position with that in mind. Two sellers beat us on the cheapest pound outright, both with smalls, and they sit above us in the table.

On full-size buds, the order flips. Our $525 Essential pound sits $25 under the cheapest full-size listing at Bulk THCa Supply and $240 under the cheapest full-size pound at Plain Jane.

Bulk THCa Supply's smalls category copy says pounds are priced from $250, but the cheapest pound in its in-stock grid on September 28 was the $350 mixed smalls, so that's the figure in the table.

THCA4Cheap is the seller left out of the table. Its collection page advertises pounds from $500, and its Hendrix Smalls page carries a $500 pound in its title while displaying a $39.99 to $699.99 price range across its weight options.

Its full-size strain pages work the same way, with ranges that top out between $750 and $1,499, so confirm the pound variant price at checkout before you count on the advertised figure.

WHAT A $100 POUND ACTUALLY IS

Search for $100 lb THCA flower and every listing we found was shake, trim or clearance material. THCA4Cheap's product titled $100/LB THCA Flower is outdoor shake and trim, described on its own page as smaller pieces of bud, leaf and trim, and on September 28, 2026 the page displayed a $59.99 to $189.99 price range across its weight options.

DopeTHC describes its $100 pound category as clearance or value batches made up of small buds, shake or "ugly flower," positioned for smoking, rolling or extraction.

At that price, plan for the following:

• Loose shake, leaf and trim with small bud pieces mixed in
• Material its sellers pitch for pre-rolls, edibles and extraction, with bag appeal traded away for price

In our sample, the floor for whole buds by the pound sat at $350 on September 28, and that was mixed smalls. Our own floor is $499 for Smalls Salad Preferred, a pound made up of Preferred-tier small buds from more than one strain.

WHERE BULK STARTS BEATING OUNCES

On our menu a pound beats ounces on total spend once a single order would reach ten to fourteen ounces of one tier. Under that count, ounces cost less in total and you can spread the money across more strains.

On a per-gram basis, the pound is already cheaper than retail ounces at list price across all four tiers. The useful break-even is the spending crossover: how many retail ounces you'd need to order before their total price exceeds the price of a full THCA flower pound.

Divide the pound price by the list price of one ounce in the same tier, then round up. That's the number of retail ounces at which the total cost of the ounce order exceeds the pound price.

At the margin, a few things push that line back toward ounces.

Sale pricing on ounces closes the gap fast. At a $34.99 Essential ounce, the pound doesn't win until you'd buy sixteen ounces anyway, and at a $29.99 Smalls sale, sixteen ounces cost $479.84, which is $19.16 less than the Smalls pound.

Shipping and payment differ too. 

A sixteen-ounce retail order clears our free shipping threshold and goes through checkout on a card. A wholesale pound is paid by wire transfer or cash in the mail, ships with insurance and an adult signature added to the quote, and can't be returned or refunded.

The Smalls comparison is also the loosest of the four. The pound is a mixed Preferred salad, while our retail Smalls ounces are single-strain Essential bags, so the lower per-gram price comes with a blend of strains, a different product from the retail bag.

For Essential, Preferred and Supreme, the pound and the ounce come from the same tier, so the comparison holds grade for grade.

PRICING BY TIER

Our pounds run from $499 to $1,200 across four grades, and moving up a tier buys bud size, density, trim and terpene depth. Potency doesn't climb with the price. The highest THCA figure on the whole wholesale list on September 30 belonged to an Essential strain.

Strain names and THCA ranges for each tier come from that same September 30 list, and live wholesale inventory changes as batches sell through. Strains with ounces in stock link to their product page, so you can try one before you commit to a pound.

Supreme, $1,100 to $1,200 per pound

• Best for: shelf appeal, dense full-size buds, connoisseur strains
• Strains listed: Lemon Cherry Beltz at $1,100, Candy Jack, Pluto 85 and Jelly Cake at $1,200

Potency and grade don't track each other neatly, so check the number before you pay double for a tier.

MINIMUM ORDERS AND LEAD TIMES

Every seller we priced will sell a single pound, and one of them will sell less. The differences are in how fast the order leaves, how you pay and which states are off the map.

Bulk THCa Supply also limits who can buy. It states that it works exclusively with licensed wholesale buyers, naming smoke shops, distributors, hemp brands and retailers, while Plain Jane sells its pounds for personal purchase or lawful business resale through its normal checkout.

Our wholesale side runs on email. You send the strain, the number of pounds and the ship-to address to info@litfarms.com, we confirm availability from the live list, and the order ships on a 24-hour lead time. We don't do wholesale over social media, and anyone claiming to sell our pounds through a DM is not us.

State restrictions apply at every seller and they don't match. Our pounds don't ship to Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont or Washington. Bulk THCa Supply lists only five excluded states, so a buyer in California or New Jersey has options we can't serve.

HOW BULK LOTS ARE TESTED

The sellers we checked describe testing at the batch or lot level rather than testing each individual pound, so the certificate of analysis you receive covers the batch your pound came from.

What that looks like at each seller:

• LIT Farms: every incoming batch is lab tested before it goes live, and the THCA figure from that test is printed beside the strain on the wholesale list. Product pages link a certificate of analysis for each strain, and our COA library shows where to find it, so ask for the report that matches your batch when you email for a quote.
• Bulk THCa Supply: it says a lot-specific, QR-coded COA ships with every order and covers potency, pesticides and heavy metals.
• Plain Jane: each active pound links a lab report from the listing.
• THCA4Cheap: its COA page points to a shared folder of lab reports, and the site says each batch is tested for cannabinoids, terpenes and contaminants.

Batch testing matters more at a pound than at an ounce because the money at stake is bigger and the strain name tells you less. Names rotate fast in this category, and a strain can be back on a menu a month later from a different farm with a different number.

Before you wire money, match the batch date on the COA to the batch you're being quoted, check that the Delta-9 THC concentration on that report is not more than 0.3% on a dry weight basis, and confirm the seller retests when a new batch of the same name lands.

FRESHNESS AT VOLUME

A pound you'll hold for weeks should be packed under controlled humidity, and that's the part of our process we'd point to first. 

We bag right after the drying phase, before the cure has fully completed, inside a packaging room held between 65% and 72% humidity by air conditioning, and the sealed bag goes straight into two-to-three-day shipping.

Because the cure finishes inside the bag, the flower keeps conditioning while you work through the pound instead of drying out on a shelf before it ever reaches you.

That process has one side effect people sometimes misread. Flower packed this way may feel fresher and less dry than the retail flower some buyers are used to, and a few customers have jarred it and added humidity because they assumed it needed more time.

It doesn't. It's ready to break down the day it lands and it improves over the month it takes to smoke through a pound. Inventory at LIT Farms turns over roughly every five days.

You can watch that happen on the wholesale list. Of the 20 lines we captured on September 28, five were off the list by September 30, four in Preferred and one in Supreme, and two new Preferred strains had gone up. The Essential lineup didn't change.

If you're splitting a pound across a shop counter or a month of sessions, keep the sealed bag closed until you need to break weight and break down a quarter or a half at a time.

HOW MUCH SHOULD THCA FLOWER COST?

By the pound, whole-bud THCA flower ran from $0.77 to $3.22 per gram among the pound listings we could verify on September 28, 2026, with smalls at the bottom and boutique exotic at the top.

By the ounce, our list prices ran from $1.43 per gram for Smalls and Essential to $4.29 per gram for Supreme. In the listings we checked, prices well under $0.77 per gram at pound volume were shake, trim or clearance material rather than buds.

HOW MUCH IS A POUND OF THCA FLOWER?

A pound of whole THCA buds cost between $350 and $1,460 across the sellers we checked, depending on bud size and grow type.

Our own THCA pounds run $499 for Smalls Salad Preferred, $525 to $550 for Essential, $600 to $725 for Preferred and $1,100 to $1,200 for Supreme, with the THCA percentage listed beside each single-strain pound.

WHERE CAN I FIND A CHEAP QUARTER POUND OF THCA FLOWER?

We sell wholesale in full pounds only, so the cheapest quarter pound route on our site is four ounces from the retail menu, which starts at $159.96 for four Smalls ounces at list price and clears the free shipping threshold.

THCA4Cheap lists a quarter pound option on its smalls and shake pages. Its $100/LB shake and trim page displayed prices from $59.99 on September 28, 2026, and whole-bud quarter pound prices vary by strain.

DO I NEED A LICENSE TO BUY THCA POUNDS?

Federal law currently defines hemp as Cannabis sativa L. with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis, under the federal hemp definition in 7 U.S.C. 1639o. Every pound on our list is sold with a COA showing its Delta-9 THC figure against that limit.

USDA's federal hemp licensing program applies to producers rather than purchasers, while state requirements for handling or resale vary. Some states require a hemp handler license for resale and seventeen states are excluded from our shipping altogether, so confirm the rule in force in your state on the day you order, and ask a licensed attorney if you're buying for resale.

The federal definition itself has an end date. Section 781 of Public Law 119-37 replaces the delta-9 limit with a total THC limit that includes THCA, and Section 2019 of Public Law 119-103, signed September 2, 2026, limits most of that change until December 11, 2026.
